Education and Community Outreach

Safe Passage not only helps survivors, we work toward reducing violence through prevention education. We provide individual and group programs that teach ways to recognize domestic violence and how to safely intervene and help.

Teen Outreach

Our Teen Outreach program offers presentations in high school and middle school classrooms, for youth groups and clubs, and at local organizations that support youth. Presentations are based on No Means No, a statewide curriculum that cover topics like Healthy Relationships, Gender Norms and Media, Dating Violence and Technology Safety in Dating Relationships.

We are currently working to implement a popular and effective bystander training program called Green Dot in local high schools. In addition, the Teen Outreach Program also supports additional community-wide awareness events like National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, Respect Week, National Crime Victim’s Rights Week, mock trials at local high schools covering sexual assault or domestic violence, and bystander intervention training  targeted at preventing dating violence, sexual assault and bullying.
